Results From the Nurses' Station to the Administrator's Office
Hear from the people who rely on Smart Caregiver every shift.
"I am a director of nursing services and many of my patients have cognitive deficits that preclude them from making good decisions regarding their personal safety, e.g., wandering, fall risks, etc. These alarms are excellent for alerting caregivers when patients are potentially engaging in harmful behavior out of bed or out of their chairs. Best, a noisy alarm is away from patients so the noise does not cause them anxiety but kept at the nursing station where staff are alerted and can assist the patient right away. I purchase these frequently and have had no problems."
"Serves our purpose well. My mom is in an assisted living facility and has dementia, and is prone to falls. The alarm alerts staff when she is getting out of her chair or bed (and since there are two pads, we don’t have to move them back and forth). Since it is wireless, we were able to place the base near the front desk so they can hear it and the alarm doesn’t startle my mom when it goes off."
About Smart Caregiver
30 Years Serving Memory Care Professionals
Smart Caregiver was founded by a geriatric physical therapist and her engineer husband. We've understood the clinical realities of fall prevention and wandering risk in memory care long before it was a regulatory focus. That expertise is built into every product we make.
We're a proudly American company with a local support team that understands long-term care. Our expert team has helped thousands of memory care facilities build effective monitoring programs.

Questions from Memory Care Teams
We work with facilities teams every day. Here's what they ask most.
How does the free demo program work?
Contact us to request a demo kit. We'll ship you a system at no charge. You have 30 days to test them in your facility — on real residents, in real conditions. At the end of 30 days, you can purchase the units you want to keep, or we'll send you a prepaid return shipping label. No invoice, no pressure, no obligation.
Our team is available throughout the demo period to answer questions, help with placement, and assist with documentation.
How do your systems help us reduce falls & wandering?
We have a variety of sensors including bed exit sensors, chair exit sensors, floor mat sensors, door exit sensors, door proximity wristbands, call buttons, motion sensors, emergency pull cords, and more. These can be configured to alert you when a resident is on-the-move and needs assistance.
What service support and warranty do you offer?
All systems carry a standard manufacturer warranty. Our customer service team is available by phone, email, or text Mon - Fri 7:00am - 3:15pm PST. We will work with you to help set up your product, troubleshoot and resolve any issues, and if necessary, promptly send a replacement unit.
Do these systems help with state survey or regulatory compliance?
Smart Caregiver systems are tools to help you implement a consistent fall and elopement prevention protocol — which is precisely what surveyors look for when evaluating your care plans. While we can't make compliance guarantees, many of our facility customers have told us that having a documented, standardized monitoring program was viewed favorably during surveys.
We can also provide product documentation and usage guidance to support your fall prevention program. Just ask our team.
Do you offer volume pricing and tiered discounts for large facilities?
Yes. We offer tiered pricing for orders above certain unit thresholds — the larger your order, the better your per-unit cost. Contact our facilities team with your census size and we'll provide a formal quote. For multi-location operators, we can also discuss account-level pricing across your portfolio.
We also offer a free 30-day demo program — send us your order size and we'll ship demo units at no charge so your clinical team can evaluate performance before committing.
