What Residential Care Operators Say

★★★★★

"We own a residential memory care and use these for our residents who are high fall risk. We place the motion sensors on top of their wardrobes and point them down towards their bed. These are an afforable solution."

About Smart Caregiver

We've Been Supporting Small Care Homes for 30 Years

Smart Caregiver was founded by a geriatric physical therapist and her engineer husband — people who understood that residential care homes deserve the same quality tools as large facilities, at prices that make sense for a small operation. That's still what we're about.

We're an American company with a real support team you can call. When you call us, you'll talk to someone who knows the product and wants to help you find the right fit for your home and your residents.

Questions from Residential Care Operators

What kind of support do you offer?

We're available Monday through Friday, 7am–3:15pm PST by phone, text, or email. Our experts can work with you to build a system for your care home. If something isn't working right after you purchase, we're easy to reach and we'll walk you through it.

We've been doing this for over 30 years. Chances are we've heard your exact situation before and we know how to fix it quickly.

How do your sensors help us reduce falls & wandering in my care home?

We have a variety of sensors including bed exit sensors, chair exit sensors, floor mat sensors, door exit sensors, door proximity wristbands, call buttons, motion sensors, emergency pull cords, and more. These can be configured to alert you when a resident is on-the-move and needs assistance.

Can one pager monitor multiple residents at once?

Yes — you can pair multiple transmitters to a single central mointor and caregiver pager. The pager will tell you which sensor triggered. This is how most small homes run it: one pager for the caregiver on duty, multiple rooms monitored. You can also use multiple pagers if you have overnight staff in different parts of the home.

If you prefer, you can set up one pager or hallway monitor for individual residents if you do not need to monitor your whole home. Our team can help you figure out the right configuration for your layout and staff setup.

How durable are the sensor pads with daily use and cleaning?

Our sensor pads are designed for care facility use — they can be wiped down with standard disinfectant wipes. They're built to handle the normal wear of daily repositioning, transfers, and cleaning.

Like any sensor pad, they're not indestructible — we don't recommend putting them through a washing machine. But for normal daily care facility use, they hold up well. If a pad does wear out, replacements are available individually so you're not buying a whole new system.
