Nighttime Safety Concerns

We have several options that can assist and give peace of mind to the caregiver. Our Smart Outlet will work with our sensor pads to turn on a light when loved one is attempting to exit a bed, therefore illuminating the room, and reducing fall risk. And our caregiver call systems can notify a caregiver remotely that they are getting out of bed and need assistance.

  • Medication can make an individual unsteady on their feet.
  • It’s dark, but they think they can make it to the bathroom without a light.
  • They do not want to bother a caregiver in the middle of the night.

Especially true for family members taking care of a loved one, it is critical for caregivers to get a good night sleep so they can attend to their patients. Yet, many are concerned they will not know if a high-risk person gets to their feet and they try to “listen” for them from another room, therefore not getting the needed rest.

  • When loved one gets up, light will come on.
  • Remote alert notifies caregiver that loved one is on the rise and attempting to get to their feet.

  • When loved one stands on floor mat, light will come on.
  • Remote alert notifies caregiver that loved one is on the rise and attempting to get to their feet.
Caregiver Snapshot

To mitigate the risks of falls and wandering, caregivers can establish a calming bedtime routine and secure the home with tools like Smart Caregiver bed exit sensors, pressure-sensitive floor mats, motion sensors, and door exit sensors that provide an instant alert if a loved one leaves their bed or room.
